In 2011 I was awarded a doctorate from University of Wales, Aberystwyth for my thesis about the career of Lady Eve Balfour, the founder of the organic campaigning organisation, The Soil Association. The thesis title is: Lady Eve Balfour & the British Organic Food and Farming Movement.

I have begun to publish work about my research (see Academic Articles section) and I have given a number of papers about my doctoral research at academic conferences in the UK, Europe and Japan (see Academic papers section). I have reviewed books for a range of academic journals, including The Economic History Review, the Agricultural History Review, and Environment & History.
